Since it’s inception in 1990, Photon’s main focus has been Service. By representing Elscint Nuclear Cameras and accessories, Photon was able to provide its customers with cutting edge technology and well-maintained equipment. With its foundations built on customer service and technical excellence, Photon became a key player in Nuclear Diagnostics in the South Florida area.

Aside from service, Photon expanded its business into Mobile Nuclear labs. In 1994, Photon Inc. unveiled its first completed mobile lab at the Society of Nuclear Medicine (SNM ’94). Due to the revolutionizing design and added system stability of the Elscint Nuclear line, Photon’s Mobile Lab soon showed that it met and surpassed customer expectations while offering a turnkey solution for sites with limited space and high volume patient needs.

Between the years or 1990 and 1997, Photon grew between 33-40% each year. As a result, in 1997, ADAC Labs, the industry leader in Nuclear Medicine, bought the refurbishing portion of Photon to be part of its Multi-vendor Service plans.

In March of 1999, Photon2 opened for business providing the same manpower, service, and sales expertise that Photon had built its earlier reputation on. Photon2 was able to recapture most of its former market-share and begin to vastly expand and strengthen its service and sales base. In 1995, Photon2 added to the market an upgrade to the older Elscint systems. By remanufacturing the electronics and attaining FDA accreditation, Photon2 introduced the Apex XL. Based on Elscints reliable gantry design, with totally new electronics, Photon2 offered yet another cutting edge technological solution to a now PC based market.

In 2007, Photon2 received FDA approval for the compact C! Nuclear Dual Head camera. The C! camera adds a new line to our current products which is compact and offers a unique oportunity for nuclear cardiac imaging in cardiology offices of any style and size.

Photon2 has also grown to be able to offer total diagnostic turnkey solutions, no longer limited to Nuclear Medicine. Together with hand selected affiliates and distributors, Photon2 has grown from a small, Florida-based company, to a National enterprise, while still offering the personal customer care that Photon was founded on. Today, Photon2 offers a selection of refurbished, remanufactured, and new equipment for almost any modality in Radiology. At Photon2, we pride ourselves knowing that we can now offer any solution.
